Thumb-Bunny Loves You

This is the Valentine's Day card I made for David (and actually sent out to a few friends too!). It was inspired by a card I saw, I think it was at Target. Maybe Wal-mart.  I'm not sure, but I recreated the idea with my very own thumb print.  Easy peasy!
Hope you're all having a wonderful Valentine's Day!

Enchanting

Today I'd like to share a scrapbook layout I called "Enchanting".  My friend Melinda puts on an annual pub crawl to local parts in Northeast Minneapolis. The theme on this pub crawl was "Incognito: Come As You Are Not".  We were encouraged to wear spy-like gear and especially wigs.  I naturally have red hair. I decided the opposite must be black! I had no idea wearing  a black wig would garner so much attention! I felt like a movie star that night! It was so fun to wear something as simple as a wig and take on a whole new persona!  Check out the difference in my look....

For this layout I used the Basic Grey Ambrosia collection.  I also used a silver berry sprig that I bought on Etsy.com (Unfortunately the store I got it from has since shut down)

I hand cut butterflies from the same paper line to accent the berry sprig.
I hope you enjoyed my layout!

Divas: Girls Night Out

Today I would like to share with you a fun layout from my 30th birthday party.  My girlfriends and I had a great night out.  This is one of my favorite photos!
I used Tim Holtz stencils to ink the flourishes.  The rest of this layout was done entirely with Teresa Collins products.
Thanks for stopping by and checking out my layout!

Together In Gray

Today I would like to share this layout I did of David and I.  I am really into the gray and black combo lately.
For this layout I did a lot of paper tearing. I cut the circle designs from another paper.
I had some frame stickers that I accented with chalk ink.  I also accented places with black puffy paint!
I think the black and gray combo really makes the color photo pop!
The papers and frames are from Webster's Pages Life's A Portrait Collection.
The butterfly was from my personal stash
The Fleur Di Lis stickers are from Jolee's.

Puppy Love Layout

Today I am sharing another one of my scrapbook layouts.  This photo was taken at my Parisian Soiree
My pups were dressed for the occasion and I was going to get a photo with them.  Instead of posing they both decided to go in for a kiss and my friend snapped the pic.  It turned out to be one of my favorites of the night.
I used my Cricut to make the title and floral border.
I made varying sizes of organza flowers to accent the page too.  I stuck them on with some zots and there you have it! Hope you have enjoyed my layout!

My 200th Post!

Today I am posting my 200th post! Wow! I can't believe I've had that much to share!  There's more coming though! Today I am switching over to another passion of mine, scrapbooking.  For awhile I was scrapping and blogging about scrapping pretty frequently.  Then I got into baking and planning parties and that didn't leave much time to scrap.  I recently was able to get some work done while on a girls scrapbooking weekend that I want to share!  One of my 2011 goals for this blog was to share more of my passions.  Yes, I love to bake, plan parties, and get crafty, but I love other things like photography and scrapbooking.  I'm new to photography so I'm participating in challenges like You Capture.  Last year I completed a 365 Photo Challenge too.
Anyway, onto the scrapping.  Here is a layout I would like to share with you.  The title is Locks.
I took this photo of myself and journaled about my hair, its length, and how I decided to cut it to donate to Locks Of Love.
All of the papers used on this page were from the Basic Grey Ambrosia collection.
You can check out some of my older scrap layouts and tutorials here as well as my 365 album.  I don't post to that blog anymore, but its still out there in the blogosphere until I decide to finally publish my 365 posts into a book.
I hope you have and will continue to enjoy my newest subjects for this blog!
