Elvis the Reject

I'm not one that usually likes to share when I fail at something. However, I've decided to share what I lovingly call my Elvis Rejects. I had this grand idea of creating an Elvis Presley silhouette accompanied by music notes and guitars creating this super cool Blue Suede Elvis collection. It turns out the Elvis silhouette was too much for me to master. I used an edible marker to sketch out Elvis. Check out the tragedies...

Not even a little Elvis eh?

This was my silhouette inspiration.

I like to call this one "Elvis...the Fat Years"

Hey 80's fans...does this one look familiar??

I think he looks like this guy....remember the Ah-Ha video "Take on Me"? Cross him with Elvis and that's my cookie!

Of the six I tried (of which I ate three...hey, drawing Elvis is hungry work!) this is the only one that I thought sort of turned out. Looks like its back to the drawing board for me.
Thank you. Thank you very much. Elvis has left the building.....

Bedding Botanicals

"Bedding Botanicals"...curious name isn't it? Its true, they were inspired by the bedding my bedroom and in my guest room. I created a similar pattern onto these spring cookies. I also tried a new recipe...Coconut Cream Sugar Cookies! Deeeeelicious!!

Bunny Hop

Today I combined my love of scrapbooking with my love of cookie decorating. I was inspired by some Easter theme stickers I had.

Aren't these little bunnies cute? Here they are transformed into cookies...

Cute and edible!

I think the pink one is my favorite. Or maybe the orange...

Or maybe the blue one!

Not too bad eh?

Yep, the pink is my favorite! Happy Easter everyone!

Save The Date!

How fun would be to send out Save the Date Cookies instead of cards?! That was my inspiration behind these cookies. Check them out!

I did two different styles.

This one is the Month and Date.

This one is the Month, Year and Date.

Come on, give your guests a delicious reminder of your sweet day!

Cath Kidston Inspired Florals

The sun is shining, the weather is teetering above 50 degrees, and I was feeling inspired. I tried my hand at some Cath Kidston inspired cookies. Cath Kidston makes some truly beautiful floral patterned fabric. I took inspiration from that for these cookies!

Delicious and elegant eh?

I know I say this every time, but these really might be my new favorites!

Did You Just Eat Your Mustache?

Over the last several months I've noticed a growing trend in weddings and events. Photo booths have become very popular as a fun way to entertain guests and have some great photos after your event. Also becoming increasingly popular is adding fun props to your photo booth. I've noticed the use of little felt mustaches on sticks. Everyone from children to the bride and groom are getting in on this trend. So I thought, how much fun could this little piece of felt be? You take a photo and you're done. What if instead, you could take photos and have a treat?! Thus, the mustache cookie on a stick was born. Check out the fun I had!

Here is the collection of 6 that I made.

A close up...on a stick.

Surprised mustache!

Sad mustache.

I tried to get our dog to wear the mustache, but, well, you can see what she thought of that idea!

The excited mustache couple! That's my boyfriend David...doesn't he look sinister?! These may be my favorite fun cookie yet. So simple, so fun, and sooo yummy!
